Visit Aggius
Aggius is situated in the hills of northern Sardinia, east of Castelsardo.
A quiet town, rather off the beaten-track for most tourists, there are several small churches to discover in Aggius - the most important is the Church of Santa Vittoria with a campanile (belltower) of 33 metres height. Others include the churches of Nostra Signora del Rosario and Santa Croce, both dating from the 18th century.
Access to the surrounding region is much of the attraction of Aggius with the strange landscape of granite outcrops interrupting the agricultural backdrop. Start exploring perhaps from the small leisure lake that has been established in a very picturesque setting on the edge of Aggius.
Note: Aggius is one of six towns on Sardinia granted the Orange Flag - an Italian award for town with sustainable tourism.
